March check-in!
Started this journey mid-2014 at 114.5kg.
As of 2017:
12/2016: Weight = 98kg, WtHR=0.59, BMI=30.93
01/2017: Weight = 98.0kg, WtHR=0.585, BMI=30.93
02/2107: Weight = 96.5kg, WtHR=0.57, BMI=30.45
March 28th:
Weight = 94.9kg (-1.6kg) (lightest was 93.1kg)
WtHR = 40.0*2.54/178 = 0.57 (consider action) (same)
BMI = 94.9/(1.78^2) = 29.95 (overweight!!!)
Cool - I am officially no longer medically obese! This month saw me
20kg lighter than my starting weight - for a few days at least! Regardless, the downward trend continues and with the right lighting and angles, I even have abs! Don't know how many inches I've lost off my waist, as I wasn't recording that measurement before this year, but I pulled on my jeans tonight and let's just say I definitely need a belt. Not bad considering at my heaviest, I couldn't even wear them!
Still plenty of motivation to continue; I'm loving doing Zwift workouts on my (dumb) trainer atm. Unfortunately I don't have a
supported trainer so I don't really know what my FTP is (would love to find out), but even so I don't need much of an excuse to jump on it these days. And the results seem to be translating to the road as well - I'm leaving my riding buddy in my dust on any sort of incline and I even managed a Strava PR a few days ago despite a headwind!
Really enjoying my riding!
My goal is 90kg by mid-year. Having registered for soccer this year (starting this weekend) for the first time in 4 years, and keeping up on the trainer, I'm quietly confident that I'll hit it. That'll be 500g short of a 25kg loss all-up! I wouldn't have thought I had that much to lose back then... and I still won't be finished!
