I had one on my left wrist near the base of the thumb. Popped up for a while, then disappeared for a while, popped up again, before disappearing apparently for good.

One day doing weights I felt this impingement in my wrist. Another ganglion this time in my wrist joint! That one was day surgery to remove as I could barely move my hand

Anterior cruciate?
Anyway, ganglions are outpouchings of the joint capsule - most common on the back of your dominant wrist. They're not an injury, but represent joint use. Stop using the joint, and they universally shrink.
Aspirating them or clocking them with the family Bible will give temporary relief and universal recurrence. But this is often enough.
Any chance of posting a photo Noviss? It's a good topic for discussion.

Sorry mate can't remember medical names. Inside part of the acl. It was quite big but they assured me structurally it was fine, just a bit of discomfort.ValleyForge wrote:?Calvin27 wrote:I have a ganglion to my right ACL. Gets annoying sometimes but doc rekons leave it.

Anyways the point is mine did reside to some extent but it took a long time about 6 months or very gentle riding and much reduced volume, after completely off the bike for 3 months.

I think I will whack it with something and hold off on the aspiration for now.

I was aware of an aneurysm being misdiagnosed as a ganglion here. Made the operation a bit exciting.

I didn't ask and the specialist didn't tell me what the expected recovery time would be, silly me. It does seem to be getting better slowly and steadily so I'm not worried.
