Hit n Run

Postby IamGroot » Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:14 pm

Been involved in a hit and run (we think a golf buggy him me from behind), knocked unconscious, 3 broken ribs on the back side, the good news is after 2 weeks I just farted.

A golf buggy?

That's a pretty dodgy situation. Illegal path use of buggy or were you on a golf course?

But, as Edward I said, "it does a man good to be shot of a turd", though the air biscuit would be just as applicable. Heal well.

Holy hell Batman !!!

Gotta admit, couldn't quite work out the last part of the sentence "..the good news is after 2 weeks I just farted"

Hope you heal well and catch the bugger !

That would be the opiate painkillers making him constipated, I'm guessing. Does it mean you've been able to reduce the dose?

Broken ribs hurt. A lot.

Hope you recover quickly and the culprit is found and skinned.

Hope you're on the mend. How's your bike?

Any chance of witnesses/CCTV to help you catch the offender?

I too am intrigued by the golf buggy thing....

Yep. The hardest for me was sleeping.

Tend not to cough, not to take deep breaths .. leading to lung infection/problems. Take deep breaths every day to clean out the old air.

I found it easiest to sleep in a chair. This lead to gout with my legs dangling down! Fixed by a long walk - doc said that was not advisable due to the broken ribs.. as I had all day with nothing to do ..I simply walked slowly. After that I still slept in the chair - but with the feet up at knee level, no more gout and a good sleep. Oh .. I used a sleeping bag to sleep in, worked well.

Never though a fly6 would be needed on a golf course.

Yep, when I poked myself in the ribs with the end of my MTB handlebars and in a later incident broke my collarbone I was terrified of catching someone's cold. Sneezing. Oh, God.

Pneumonia...

"Any rib injury may set up the conditions for pneumonia. If the patient cannot breathe deeply, the lungs are vulnerable to inflammation. In fact, about one third of patients over the age of 65 who suffer a rib fracture end up with pneumonia— which is one of the leading killers of seniors."

Welcome sulfur dioxide,
Hello carbon monoxide
The air, the air is everywhere
Breathe deep, while you sleep, breathe deep

Bless you alcohol bloodstream,
Save me nicotine lungsteen
Incense, incense is in the air
Breathe deep, while you sleep, breathe deep

Cataclysmic, cataplasm
Fall out atomic orgasm
Vapor and fume at the stone of my tomb
Breathe like a solemn perfume
Eating at the stone of my tomb

Hmm. Might have been why I had evidence of pneumonia "consolidations" when I was admitted for the PE. Taking deep breaths resulted in coughing spasms.
