i think known for weight gain
even after going to gym and riding as normal
Hopefully I am coming off it soon
As i already take head drugs for epilepsy,
one of which that is already used to treat anxiety/depression already
and i hate taking more.

I had a guy I know take Pristiq and when he tried coming off it he started hearing voices. This is one of the worse side effects it can have. If I had my choices I wouldn't take Pristiq nor recommend it to someone else. It was interesting enough when I started taking Mirtazapine and I had closed eye visual hallucinations. Unfortunately the more common side effects of a lot, if not all of the various antidepressants is weight gain. This happens because it slows down your metabolism. If you don't like that side effect go back to your psychiatrist (or ask for a referral to see a psychiatrist under medicare) and change it for something that does not have that side effect.
There are 6 different types of antidepressants (MAOI, tricyclic, tetracyclic SSRI, SNRI and atypicals e.g. mianserin and mirtazapine) then there is the new type of SSRI/SNRI antidepressants that have melatonin activating action (Valdoxen). Out of that there are literally hundreds of choices of different variations. That's before you get to things like lithium for people with bipolar and treatment resistant depression.
You really need to sit down with a psychiatrist and find the right one for you. They are available for around $0-$100 depending on where you go per session with a medicare referral of which you can have 10 sessions per year or if you can't afford it any other way you can go to your local adult mental health. This isn't really something I would leave entirely in the hands of a GP. As much as thy would like to argue they don't generally have the same amount of in depth psychopharmacology.
Aside from the above book in to see your doctor to get a referral to see a psychologist. The gold standard for the long term treatment and management of depression and anxiety is CBT or DBT depending on which way your problem tends to go and what the underlying causes are. Drugs by themselves wont fix your problem, they are a very rudimentary crutch until you can get over the hump. You wont shift your depression with drugs alone. It is curable with the right treatment but that involves being able to afford long term therapy.
I speak from the lived experience of 16 years with the burden of anxiety and depression.

but used as a coping mechanism
while going through the processes of a work injury
thanks to due process. hopefully, i will have closure and come off them.
i'm already well medicated for epilepsy, and Dr's and medical help
this was genuinely asking if it affected anyone else, and what they did about it,
ie eat more, less or myfitnesspal, calorie count etc
not suggest the way my treatment is done etc. i have that under control
Plus i'd prefer your opinion more on whether i shold go 30 tooth on my 10/50 Casette,
to get more midrange use, rather than my 32, i have at the moment
was topping out on a big social ride, by using big rear all the time

I's statistically proven that exercise makes you happy. It builds up the good chemicals in your brain such as serotonin and dopamine. Riding outdoors is also beneficial in getting vitamin d which is also responsible for your mood. I rode 55km on road the day before yesterday, my average ride is around 30-40km.
