Orienteering Victoria MTB-O has an event at Lysterfield Park this Saturday evening.....
Summer MTBO Series #1 – Lysterfield, Saturday 22 November
The Summer MTBO events kick off as usual with the ever popular Lysterfield Lake Park event.
The summer events are 75 minute "Score" events, which means you have 75 minutes to visit as many (or as few) of the 20 controls on the map as you like. Each control earns you 20 points. You choose which way you go and when you return. If you take longer than 75 minutes, heavy point penalties apply. There are group starts of 20 riders every 5 minutes from 6.00pm, so that everyone starts and finishes around the same time and there is plenty of opportunity to mix with other riders before and after the event. There is also a sausages, cheese toasties and drinks available after the event, so hang around and enjoy the summer evenings.
Enter on the day by 5.45pm at the latest. Riders briefing at 5.50pm. Entry fees: VOA members $10 adults, $5 juniors, $25 families. Non-members: $20 adults, $10 juniors, $50 families
