you did well Spizz, homefully you can make the Yarramundi 8hr on 8th march, i think i may go a 3 man team so i ca hammer each lap, rather then cruise around Solo style.
Did anyone take on the huge double jumps at the end of the course, i was behind 2 x BMC riders going very, very fast and they both went over the one which was built up with a pallet, ie the drop was 3-4 foot, was amazing to watch, i went around them chicken style. Was very cool though having double jumps on a XC course, even if i di take the b line for most of them.

Don, I'll have to see about Yarramundi. A team of 3 or 4 is definitely a good idea. I would also prefer to go hard for a lap and recover rather than plod along all day in energy conservation mode.

Rainer, The guy with the cool ute setup opposite us was riding a single speed hardtail too. He did 7 quick laps and said screw this  He went out again at the end and did one more lap with a mate. His race No. was 11.

That brings my SS count to 3.

I was doing fairly cruisy laps (including the odd stop to chat and very leisurely transitions) aroun the 50 minute mark.

All that thinking about which gear you should be using was probably slowing you down

So Rainer, did you have a good look at your rear suspension? Is it just the bolt or the mounting point on the frame?
