Surprised there isnt much posting going on about this event. I've seen lots n lots of MTB boys n girls in town for the racing. Think last night was the 4th day of the event, could finnish today or Saturday, not sure.
Carol had 2 come in last night (Alice ER), one with a gashed forearm and unfortunately another guy with a broken hip. Terrain out here can be pretty unforgiving, especially the technical stuff as it always involves rocks.

Jesus, thats really bad news. It's when you get something like "dads army" running an event that you get this carry on. The scrub in Alice can be real real tough, thats why I'm not that convinced to become a hardcore MTB rider.... though roadies have to deal with the knuckleheads on the road
