Do any of you with rear shocks use lizard skins to stop crud from getting on your shocks and potentially shortening its lifespan?

I read somewhere online that they help to increase the lifespan so i picked one up when i got my Trance - took it through a small creek and it got covered in water and mud so i was kinda glad i bought the lizard skin.

Thoughts anyone?

Yep, I got one on my Jekyll. I think they're a good thing.

However, if you do have a muddy ride I'd recommend removal and wiping/washing the crud out. If you don't, you'll find that it works against you and retains crud that will scratch that nicely finished hard-anodised shaft, and your air spring will leak like a sieve.
