HERE is 80km of single track to get you going.
Too far to get there. This place is a stones throw from home (12km ride) - and my initiation to the off-road wonders .....

Hmmmm, ended up with the model down, the Rythym, mainly because of the carbon seat stays on the Motion means the frame only gets a 3 yr warranty rather than lifetime.

The Rythym still has a good base mix of parts and the Tora 302 U-Turn fork, so I'll have to live with that :D
Pix or it didn't happen! ;)

I just remembered. Don't forget to pick up some 24" tubes with removeable cores for that inevitable tubeless conversion. You know you won't be able to resist.

Went to pick it up today but for a myriad of reasons, it wasn't ready. Was in a rush so didn't quite get the full story, but one of the senior guys rang a/hours and assured me it was all in hand, so will pick it up on the way home tomorrow.

Here is a promotional teaser

Well it's been a while now, and have only managed two rides so far, with the 2nd one last weekend.

So far so good, with only one minor stack and lots of heart in the mouth action. So different to road riding, and great to do something different.

Tyres had their first run with the ghetto tubeless mod - no wuckers :D . Bike has performed well so far (better than the rider), but a good time had by all.

Thanks again to all of those that helped my selection and let me see the other side of the fence .....

Something isn't right if you have only been out twice...

One ride is enough to convert most people.

Yep, minor issues called families and one ride got badly rained out

That is true. It hasn't been a good winter for starting off

Which method did you use to convert to tubeless? I'm trying the weight weenie one with packing tape now - not convinced it will work, but if it doesn't it is easy enough to go the normal way

It was posted in the Cheap Tubeless thread on here.

Uses 20" tubes slit down the middle as the inner liner. Worked fine for me :D
