It's unusual, but not unheard of. You may face challenge on how hard you've been riding, over what sort of terrain. I'd look at the break edges and see if they're shiny. If so, it's a fatigue failure and not attributable to a one off, which boosts your chances of success.
There seems to have been a run of Scott and yeti frame failures on their duallies rear triangle of late. All fixed up under warranty no questions asked, but I wouldn't be buying a used bike in either brand.
