Looks like fun ... thanks for sharing. Andrew
Re: Manly Dam handlebar camAhhh shame it's so far from me, otherwise I would have gone and checked it out. Looks fun.
You should have gone out front and put some more power down!
Re: Manly Dam handlebar camNeeds a pumping soundtrack Gumby, Yakkety Sax maybe?
Looks like trailriders nirvana to me. ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Manly Dam handlebar camIt's a very popular track. Being loved to death actually. Several hundred riders a day, 500 a day during the weekends. Considering the amount of use it gets, the track is standing up to the punishment remarkably well.
I quite like the techy rock drops. "People have a right to their own opinions, but not their own facts. Evidence must be located, not created, and opinions not backed by evidence cannot be given much weight." -- James W Loewen

I almost went OTB 3 times on those sections Have you tried mounting the camera on your helmet? ![]()
Re: Manly Dam handlebar camWith the shape of that particular camera (like a bar of Palmolive Gold soap with the lense in one corner of the face) that's a bit hard. It might be possible to put it on the shoulder of your camelbak, but I'm overdue sending it back to Nate so I won't have time for that now.
I've been OTB on most of the rock drops at one time or another. Ah, that hurts First ride back this morning after a week-long cold, my balance and stability were feeling way off the mark at first, so I took it pretty slow and careful. Seem to have come good by the second time around - back to normal, except for the HR being about 10 above normal - was hitting 180 on all the climbs and was struggling a bit. Surprisingly, was expecting to walk part of Heartbreak Hill, but I cleaned it. "People have a right to their own opinions, but not their own facts.
