Hi

From BikeRadar.com [includes video]:

So we've got the next best thing: a video of the entire loop. We filmed it using a bar-mounted Drift HD170 camera – look out for a review in What Mountain Bike soon – and we've sped up the footage because, frankly, 20 minutes of a BikeRadar staffer sweating his way around a field would get a bit boring.

So...where's the cyclocross bike...heck you could ride a road bike around that!.

Nice aerobics testing course. Remove a few rocks and it's good enough for a road bike.

it will maybe make for more interesting viewing. lots of room to pass. it does look like they got a bobcat and just dumped a few rocks in random places though !

Yes it is very tame...no technical skills needed at all.I expect to see some stupid light bikes...even rigid maybe?...not like you need forks there!.Biggest engine will win.To think of all the mtb'ing I did in that area...mud mud & tree roots  .

 I think the dualies will be left at home for this one. At least it will be fast - maybe they're trying for a MTB bunch sprint as the finale

That video wouldn't run for me, all I got was teh 9 second bikeradar intro looping over and over again.

Interesting review commentary on the circuit here:

Although it looks very tame on the video, I'd want to ride it before I'd make a claim about racing it on a rigid. You can ride just about anything rigid as many trials videos show, but being faster than a hardtail downhill is unlikely. I would be amazed if any of the racers turned up on a rigid next year.

Photos do more justice than the video...still tame thou.
Yup maybe they are going for a bunch sprint...XC is so boring to watch! apart from the rare occasion.Give me a good CX race anyday!.

I think I might buy a couple of large rocks from the garden supplies and put them in my back yard and have my own "Olympics". Could even do it on my commuting bike. I will have to get one of the kids to hold that farm gate open though.

Whippets on short travel hardtails will fly over this. The paddock sections might get interesting if it rains.

Looks very groomed...but does it not have to stand up to another year of weather and use. Should be a fast one. Wouldn't mind if it were down the lane from me though. :)

Shockingly bad. Looks like a blue grade loop. It doesn't even have the power of deception that previous olympics have had, knocking the stuffing out of you with a continuously draining flow.

Neat! It'd be awesome to be there at the olympics.
