That is awesome, I am somewhat left in a happy state after that lefty Fatbike, the one thing I always wanted to build was a lefty fatbike.

Image

This pic inspired me to build my next bike whilst waiting for a fat bike wheelset, a lefty monstercross, single speeder with racer styled bars

cheers

What size is the chainring? He must be able to climb walls with it! Looks like a lot of fun.

Well, we have a few of those around our way.

He tells me the loose pinch climb at the end of Long Trail is very doable. I have NEVER made it up that climb, I always spin the rear, stall, and can't get going again.

Hopefully the new 29er might change that.

Looks like fun mugglechops. How did you find the pedal width - the huge q factor necessary to clear the tyre is one thing that has been putting me off

I didn't even really notice it being much different to my Trek Superfly that has a 95mm bottom bracket anyway.

Or my Reign which I got straight on to ride home after my 9kms on the Fatty.

The Nivinci 360 hub was awesome to use though. You just twist and pedalling gets easier or harder with no noise or difference in pedal feel.

For budget, not aware of anything that comes close to the on-one - complete bike from A$1600 delivered or a rolling chassis & headset at $840 delivered.

Can't quite justify it ATM, but would be fun

Get down to your Norco dealer and get a Bigfoot for $1495 before they are all gone.

ha, this is a funny video
http://www.norco.com/news/11110/say-hel ... o-bigfoot/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I see he got his girl to meet him further downhill at a lake rather than have to climb a fatbike back up that elevation.

Big Q-factor required for the tree trunk thighs you'll grow climbing with fat bikes.

Well I just walked into the local Norco dealer and just ordered a Norco bigfoot, I couldn't wait anymore and they will be very limited releases in Aust, I had to do some serious soul searching and financial planning to do it, noting I have a Salsa Mukluk that has been waiting a wheelset for nearly 9 months, and I didn't want to get rid of it seeing as I hadn't ridden it yet. So it is waiting on an alternator set to turn it into a 29er, get rid of my 29er hard tail, and welcome a Norco Fatbike in the end of the year, hopefully before International Fat Bike Day. And the Salsa and Norco get some upgrade goodies from the bike shed, win win. Although I did order a set of On-One fat wheels for down the track, just in case, well they were going for 390 a set, can't beat that...

All that cogburn needs is a gun rack and a chainsaw holder and it would be tops. 8)

I had a TW200 motorcycle that appealed to elk hunters who could load quarters on the aftermarket front and rear racks, gave rock crawling traction in the spirit of the Rokon with fuel or water tanks inside the solid wheels. These above look like a similar, perhaps younger more able bodied demographic =D

That type of Fat Bike has a massive cult following too.

One the subject of fatbikes, On One are selling a 29er rim fat bike wheelset that would suit, non offset fatbikes for 198 $US.

I have a spare set turning up this week that I need to offload due to an ordering stuff up, It cost me 250 to get to my door, so if you are keen for a 29 wheelset with 135/170 hubs for a
little variety for your fatbike, give me a holler ( 0 offset too ), brand new never used.

Cheers

On-One Fat Not Fat Wheelset 29 Inch

Make your fatbike your only bike with our new 29in/700c wheelset. This wheelset lets you run conventional 29in or wider 700c tyres (from 28c) to get the most from your fatbike, making it possible to commute or just fit lighter faster tyres to your Fatty.

Based around our current CNC Fatbike hubs (with 170mm rear spacing and 135mm front spacing), we've laced these onto our Reetard Trail rims meaning you can run anything upwards of a 28c road tyre, 32c cross tyre, 2.4in Chunky Monkey - anything that will go on there.

With our Fat Not Fat wheelset, you can swap out your Fat wheels for Fast Wheels and add a new dimension to your fatbike!

28C tyres on a fatty? I get visions of those morbidly obese people with the rolls of skin because all the fat has gone, it's just not cricket

Far from it buddy, I am getting rid of a 29er so I can keep my Mukluk (future fatbike plans) and fitting the 2.4 Conti's to it. So it will have semi fats fitted
I have to justify some bike expenses, and have a backup plan for the part time treasurer...

I am surprised in the difference in the Niner EMD and Salsa Mukluk head tubes for an XL frame, the Mukluk's is heaps long in comparison.
