I'm bidding farewell to an old and faithful friend this week.

My first dual suspension bike, a Cannondale Jekyll.

A bit like Grandpa's axe, the only thing original is the shock and frameset. Damn it was a great bike though. Comfortable, and could plough through anything Manly Dam could throw at it. I had a lot of fun racing it far and wide in NSW. Unfortunately I no longer have room in the garage to keep it, so it has to go to a new home. Currently on eBay.

its what I ride until my Refurbishment project on a full suspension bike comes to fruition.
and yes that is a squeaky horn and not a bell.

Looks like fun. :)

Need to roll your bars forward at least 45 degrees,

Edit: That's a mirror rather than a bar end? OK, the brakes and shifters need to be rolled forward 45 degrees. My physio, who is an ex junior downhill champ, was on my case over my controls positioning during my last visit over some ongoing forearm strain I was experiencing from riding the Manly Dam circuit.

having the brake levers and shifters angled furhter down encourages you to keep your elbows up, which very much improves bike control and keeps injury away by reducing elbow tendon strain. If you look at the photo of the Jekyll above, that's probably still not far enough down, another 5 to 10 degrees is required.

Hope this helps. :)

New fat bike first outing. Last one had a geared hub. This one crunchy hard to shift after getting caught more often towards end of ride in the white wash as the tide came in. Any secrets for on the trail, other than avoid sand delivered by water :D

Trailgumby, Nice Jekyll you have for sale, glad I'm not in Sydney at present, less chance of me bidding.

Thanks! It sold for $720. Not bad I suppose. It went to a local bloke so I guess I'll be seeing it around on the trials for awhile yet.
