Post Your RideRe: Post Your RideNot sure exactly what you mean EG but AFAIK no members bikes have been nicked after being featured here.
If you're feeling a little paranoid, just make sure there's nothing in the pic to point out where it might be. (Don't forget to turn off geotagging if your camera does that... ) ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Post Your RideThats sweet. I'm going to post my MTB sometime soon
Re: Post Your Ride
Dude, posting a pic on a forum is the least of my worries in life eg. climate change, terrorism, getting run over, cancer, ignorant people reproducing, paying off my home loan, finishing that report by friday, rust on my brake bolts, cant find my car keys...

Re: Post Your RideIsn't funny how the creator of this thread can't even post pictures himself... just saying...
Re: Post Your Ride
sorry mate I really thought you were yanking everyone's chain with that post.
Re: Post Your RideOK,Ok... I don't get you.
Re: Post Your Ride
In all seriousness, the risk is minor mate. Unless you post a photo of your bike with your street address, location of the lock key and dates/times that youre not home. And even then your bike would have to be worth a bit $$$ to bother with the risk. Besides, dont most of your neighbours already know you have a bike, when you ride it, when youre not home etc ?? Its unlikely some random chums on a bike forum are going to steal your bike.
Re: Post Your Ride
That is why I thought EG's post was meant to be a joke.....
Re: Post Your Ridemy ride does not leave the house anymore incase someone sees it!!
Re: Post Your RideMy biggest worry with pics is being identified on the street as Nobody.
Re: Post Your Ride
Awwwww. Agreed. ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

The bikes an XL and I think the stem is about 130mm. I'll get around to getting a shorter one after I play around with the setup and work out how much shorter I want. "scaffolders, where learning to walk upright is in the training manual"

Re: Post Your Ride
I've ridden a couple of Giants & they feel exactly the same in the suspension department as the SC.(Maestro v VPP, not much difference at all) Great bikes at a good price. If I didn't have good connections in the bike industry I'd be ridding a Giant for sure. Really like the current Giant XTC & Anthem 29ers. Re: Post Your Ride
Its in Nowra. Currembene SF The Anthem 29er is a great bike too. I rode my mates and was impressed. I had a rigid ss 29er and wanted a dually 29er but bought the reign in 09. If I waited 12months I would have got the Anthem. Still thinking about getting an XTC 29er though. Giant Reign 1 Merida CX4 Trek Superfly Al Trek Earl
