Re: Balls of Steel
I think your spot on it's not as bad as it seems it's just the lens making it worse than it is.
Re: Balls of SteelAh yea it is just the lens making that track look really skinny and the drop big...maybe a little but that is still pretty impressive and would not catch me up there.
Maybe the lens but you watch the riders in front there anit much room between them and the rocks and some of the little bends Roadie: BeOne Black, SRAM Force, TWE 50mm full carbon clinchers, Vértebrae ceramic cable housings
MTB: Chin29er, Fox Terralogic, XT, 3T and TWE wheels ex-MTB now commuter: Cannondale F900 (CAAD 4), Headshok, TWE wheels, XT and Elixr CR
Re: Balls of SteelWide angle lens or not I'll pass on riding it but notice the camera "where he's looking" is always focused on where he's going and not over the edge. That would be the key to successfully doing it.
Re: Balls of Steelthey were very close to scraping their bars along the edge of the cliff!! ;P

Re: Balls of Steel'Cos it's huge fun Apple. (Tho' I suspect large parts of that trail would be too much fun for my taste these days).
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Balls of SteelI struggled to watch that.
Having had to do something similar in years gone by, that feeling of sheer terror returned. George from iSi Advanced Bicycle Carrier Systems
Re: Balls of Steelif i had their skills, i'd consider doing it. they know how to hold their line - it's all about having (justified) confidence in your ability. if i did that i'd definitely end up peering over the edge and of course the front tyre would follow..

Re: Balls of SteelLove how the rider in front nearly has an off right at the start. How close are their bars going to be to clipping those rocks?
