LONG cold winter

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy some longs for the winter but am undecided what to buy... I will mainly be using them for mountain biking - does anyone have any preference to one particular brand? Also assuming I'm going to come unstuck around the odd corner - will a better quality pair be more durable or should I get a cheap pair because they're gonna get damaged? oh and im looking for something under 100 dollars.

What about full length leg warmers?... I have come off on the road in ice a few times in winter and full length Knicks are a pain to repair.

If you're going to be on the MTB just get a pair of Ranchsliders.

+1 for leg warmers, for the same reasons. Then your trail shorts (or longs) can go over for an extra layer if desired.

You want something tough for the overshorts, and the Ranchsliders look good. After my good experience with Ground Effects' Ringleasders bibknicks and Baked Alaska 'tween seasons top, I'll probably pick up a pair for my birthday next month.

Thanks for the advice - think I might go for the leg warmers idea!
