The Ride - Cinematic Downhill Short Film

A short film I cut together for a competition, I would love some feedback.
I tried to make a relatively mundane ride in comparison to other downhill runs on this site a little more interesting.

@Corey, I liked the movie.

Perhaps a slightly heavy use of the vignette (dark border) effect early on.

I enjoyed the shots taken sighting along the chain line, and I thought that the choice of music fit well with the action.

Would have been nice if the rider could have looked a bit happier.

the vid was well edited and shot.

the music didnt really hit the spot for me. but thats music.

i would say the biggest prob most people will have with it is that the crafty editing is trying to mask the fact that the rider isnt exactly, umm.... the best rider in the world...and his bike is a bit...kmart-ish. i just couldnt get past the high handlebars myself. I mean, I like watching mtb vids on the net, and there are some great vids with some pumping music out there, but for me if the riding isnt interesting then the skill of the director and editor can only take it so far. Just being honest. But like i said well edited and shot. Has potential.
