Whoa, nice! Sad to see it wearing slicks and delegated to market duties. Also locked with a cable lock.

And you didn't hang around to see if he'd take $100 for it?...

I saw it later being ridden by an old guy probably in his early sixties. I would imagine he's had it since new and upgraded it along the way based on the V brakes and SRAM shifters.

Hmm don't believe I've posted on this thread before. I've just started riding again after spinal fusion and the faithful pug is just what I needed.

Here's a 1992 GT All Terra Catalog scan. Individual JPGs + a PDF at the bottom. PDF is 60MB so it's nice crisp.

Hi i'm Simon, and my addiction has just begun.... I only have two retro MTBs. But I want more!

Thanks to brettels for the 1992 GT Avalanche. If anyone ever has he chance to deal with him, I could'nt be more happy. He even packed down the box to just over 1/2 size for transport, saving me $$.THANKS!
And a 1992 Shogun Prairie Breaker from gumtree Sydney.
I remember drooling over them (AT) Lifecycle in brisbane when I was a kid. So happy to finally get my hand on them.

So whats next?

Is 2000 considered retro yet? Not sure but this "feels" retro. Just got it but never new much about these GTs. The spec that's on this bike doesn't seem to match others when I google it, looks like it's been upgraded with the XTR and XT stuff.

Good nick though.

It's still got V brake mounts, it's retro enough :) . Looks nice, is that the first version of the iDrive suspension?

If it's got rear suspension it's not a retro IMO. Still a nice GT though.
