2014 Trek Superfly 5

Postby swaz » Tue Sep 24, 2013 11:41 am

Just had a look and a test ride of one of these and it was very nice to ride. The shop cut me a deal for $1500 which I think is really good. They offered outstanding service too.

Anyway, given this is my first real MTB, does it sound like a good deal? I am doing the odd fire trail muck around. No racing what so ever, I am out there for the scenery and to have a good time. Am after good or bad comments because I am a bit like a star struck lover at the moment where you only see the good things.

That's a good deal IMHO, it's a decent fork that will perform nicely, and a drivetrain which is more than adequate for what you want to do. Wheels are not the lightest but are pretty solid. You should get plenty of satisfying years out of this rig.

That is my rationale behind spending a few hundred more than I had wanted.

Looks pretty good. I have a 2012 Superfly Al and that frame is heaps better than mine.

I hope mine breaks soon so I get the new frame :D
