anyone ever had a cove?...looking at these as they are cheapish...steel and big.Need a mtb!!!.Got all the bits sitting in a box so only need a frame.

I think being a 2005 it wont have warranty but being steel it may last a bit longer than normal.

A friend has a Handjob of around that vintage built up as a SS. Still going strong. Nice price.

That is exactly what I am hoping...but after seeing some of the trails they have around Chamonix I will be needing a tough one

i know a guy who swears by coves. loves em'
he's looking at picking up a second one i believe.

they do seem quiet good so i think it would be
as safe purchase.

Ive heard the older models had cracking problems and for you toolong

Ive been keenly looking at a Cove Handjob XC myself recently and Im told the newer models do not have this issue. I 'think' 2005 is the 'old' model. If I had a choice, I'd pay the extra $280 for the piece of mind. Atm the Cove is #1 on my list to build up a steel hardtail, but the jump in price is certainly significant.

only problem i see is the bike is called "handjob"
i can see it now, your riding down the street, you get calls of, "hey buddy, nice handjob" or "wow, nice bike, i wouldnt mind a handjob also", or if they try and mug you they will say " how buddy, give us a handjob".

Good maturity guys...

Apparently the stickers come off easily, if I get a Cove the stickers will def be coming off, sometimes they come off too easily, as in, fall off....
