What bike?

Postby alex89 » Fri Oct 10, 2008 7:21 pm

I'm just curious... i'm seeing some of these distance races such as the JP Morgan Fat tyre, the dirtworks 100km, Scott 24 hour etc and i want to know, what type of bikes are these guys using? Is it all about light weight, or comfort? If i wanted to get into these sort of races, what bikes should i be looking at? Just interested.

For enduro races I would look at a dual suspension, no question. With an MTB, in my opinion go the best you can afford.

Trail bikes around 4-5" travel and the lighter 6" travel bikes seem popular at enduros.

There are different specialized mountain bikes with dual and mono suspension used for such types of races.
