29er FS vs HT

Hey guys

Looking to ride some fast fire trails and also singletrack.
Tossing up whether i should go with a 29HT or FS.

Im looking at the 2019 Giant Fathom 2 vs the Merida One Twenty

Price wise they are fairly similar, in the $1500 range

I would pick the Merida by a fair margin.

For that budget stick with HT. The Merida also has 27.5 wheels, more suited to play riding than fast.

Yeah on that budget if you want o buy new i would be going for a HT, considering you looking mainly at fast firetrails and single track.
