I can organise to stay on till Tuesday if you like and we could ride on the Monday after the tri, good recovery session.
Don't worry about taking my threads of topic, no matter how hard I try its bound to happen.

The NSW 200k event I am doing is in the final stages of being organised so I am not 100% sure of the dates but I think it is literally the same weekend as Noosa, so I am unlikely to be back on SE Qld soil and able to get the time to ride on the tuesday ...was hoping you were around for another week holidaying .Missy24 wrote:Hey Pax

Actually as I think about it there are two other big rides in the area in the couple of weeks before and after. Bris to Gold Coast is usually the fortnight befor (100k mass participation event, with many doing the round trip to make it 200k), and the Rainbow Ride is a fortnight after (Byron Bay to Coolongatta Imperial Centuary). Is any of this tempting you to stay in the area for a while???...probably stretching it to say that the Rainbow ride is in the area...it is a bit south
ANYWAY..as I said my NSW event is not finalised so I'll let you know how it is shaping as the details come through in case we can make this happen.
How are you travelling up and back to Noosa? Plane to Maroochydore I assume...or flying in and out of Brisbane...or driving??????

Queensland... Yeah what can I say, I don't overly like it up there... Noosa is cool though, I'm heading to Sydney in January... Hopefully to ride with the NSW contingent, I don't have time to stay longer in Noosa, I'm only there to compete really and then home again.
And I also said I'd go to south Australia at some point, I'll do some thinking

I'm sure being a good daughter brings good karma. Hopefully this coming week will be better for you.Missy24 wrote:This week has been SH**

ok splash of vinegar, just so the water has a slight taste to it.stargazir wrote:I'm sure being a good daughter brings good karma. Hopefully this coming week will be better for you.Missy24 wrote:This week has been SH**

The water shouldn't be that really rough boiling, water should be clear boiling, so you can see the bottom of the pot.
Give the egg a really good crack and make sure your very close to the water when you split the egg (so close that you burn your fingers, he says you'll get used to the pain!)
And then when you take them out, rest them on a clean tea towel to absorb the water and then put on toast.
Haven't tried it yet though.
THanks... hoping for good Karma

Another 2 weeks and I think I'll have my stroke perfected, obviously there is always room for improvement, I'm gettting coached privately once a week now and today lucky me... everytime I screwed up I got to go back to the start, this is painful.
I've had two excellent run sessions this week and hope to do a really good run tomorrow morning of about 16km.
Bike wise I've been on the trainer recently and in discussions about changing my set up so I can put out more power... compact isn't working for me enough, need some bigger chain rings.
Officially a size 14... looking forward to being a 12

Having a chat to a friend today and he was like, "why triathlon Row?" My Answer... I enjoy the endurance aspect and I enjoy the pain... ok so its not the real reason but it will do for now till I'm ready to share the real reason.
He suggested 24 hours races... I said, "next year I'll look at it, although I like the idea of Duathlon, run, cycle and then run again...."
Ha! I had a great weekend, did 16km (run) on Sunday and then went out on the bike in the afternoon (70km), it was nice after spendning so many hours on the trainer in the past few days... although its getting terrible cold, swam on Saturday, twas good.
Got this in my email today, "Running has the power to change your life. It will make you fitter, healthier, even happier." I'm sure the same can be said for cycling and I could 100% say the same about cycling, but I've got better lung capacity because I run and I swim.
The other reason I do this is because somewhere along the way a heap of people said, "you can't" oh and then they started rolling there eyes at me being elite, trust me when I say I am.

On that note, who'd have though Sarah Reinertsen would be able to finish Kona?Missy24 wrote: The other reason I do this is because somewhere along the way a heap of people said, "you can't" oh and then they started rolling there eyes at me being elite, trust me when I say I am.

I think we should all make it a habbit to tell the people that we think they're inspiring when we think it... no point in keeping it all bottled up.

Especially since the legends (people who have raced Noosa >10 times) and people who raced Mooloolaba earlier this year as early birds (this includes me) have access to early entry.
So I am already registered but I know you can't yet.
9am - 1st June. IF YOU CANNOT BE ONLINE AT 8:55 READY TO GO THEN GET A TRUSTED FRIEND TO DO IT FOR YOU.
Otherwise all your hard work is for naught.

It is all on their website.
You will need to book accomodation ASAP as well if you want to be close to the tri.
