I find that when I ride solo, I can suck wheel and join in a male group with now problems. They don't mind and often ask me where I am going and would I like to ride with them.
If I do ride with them for the whole ride, they ask me for coffee and often offer to pay.
I don’t like them paying for my coffee as it really is not necessary. If they do, I often pay for the next round.

Being a female rider has its benefits. It is like a night out for me, my social life is my Sunday morning ride and having coffee with nice older distinguished men, and (sometimes they are younger) is keeping me motivated for the rest of the day and I am on a high.
I am a bike sl*t in a way but I really enjoy it.
Has anyone else experienced this?

It's a fixed gear bike website, but if you frequented it you probably would have chosen your words differently... Their forums had a wordfilter where the c-word would become something like "wise and distinguished gentleman".
