Before an early morning ride I usually just wake up dress and go. But I have noticed that some female cyclists have full on makeup and perfume as well. The hair style appears like a vogue magazine look. Am I missing something here, any of you girls out there have a makeover before you ride at 6am?

Oh sure.... always do my hair and makeup... what are you kidding!!!
Actually I did see a women down beach road wearing red lipstick... weird, so I kicked her arse... cycling, not like a scrag fight or anything.
I put deoderant on and soemtimes I wash my face, but thats more to wake me up, if tis windy then lip gloss and I use my fancy lip gloss that's suppose to give me fuller lips (LOVE MARKETING... Gets me every time)
I think its more important that your kit matches and is clean!

i'm a bloke when it comes to cycling. I wake up, eat breakfast, change into cycling gear, and blast off.
I don't even wash my face or put on moisturiser. I'm going to get sweaty and grimy anyway, so why bother?
Apple, you must thinking about those Turramurra female cyclists - the ones in the pink uniform. I know the guys in our bunch love perving on them.

They're the Princesses that don't sweat, don't get dirty, the wind never messes their hair and they ride $5k bikes that do 20km / week (but only when it's clear skies) Heaven forbid they put in any effort.
Why do your hair anyway? You're going to put a helmet on anyway...

Have to disagree with you hannos, these girls are fast mean machines that do 200km per day. Some have even had boob jobs and stand out line pine cones. I am sure the endorphins of looking good makes them fast

no perfume or extra smelly stuff please! Deodorant definitely.I say this because it's really hard to draft if your picking up fumes not air. I dont care which poison you choose to dab, none of it is cycling friendly. BTW, "the one" dolce and gabanna - is a winner off the bike.

whenever I go somewhere, cycling, walking, to school, to work, to a bar, I always use deodorant. perfume...I sometimes forgot. but in the morning, I never wear make up or do my hair. I look awful if I have to go somewhere early in the morning, because I'm so lazy that I prefer spending 5 min more in bed then spend that time on make up or hair. anyway, if you go to do some sports, I don't understand why wearing make up.

you would probably see me with red stripes on the face as I slept on the pillow, when going out in the morning. no chance with makeup, although I never go out without using deodorant
