Lady saddles?

Hi, I'm building up a road bike for my good lady and was wondering whether the ladies of the forum ride on 'women' saddles?
Should I be looking at WSD saddles or will she be fine on anything non WSD?

Thanks for any help.

Depends on her bum and girly bits Crawf. Some can ride anything, some can't.

If you've got a usable saddle in the shed, give it a go and ask your GL what she thinks.

Hi Crawf

I have a Brooks B17 ladies on my bike and whilst I find it comfy next time I would definitely go with the mens version (or when I become financial again I will just upgrade) because I find the ladies version is too short in the nose and I dont have enough fore/aft bum movement. I have a Terry liberator saddle on my other bike and this too is a great saddle. I have never had too much of an issue with saddles. Sure some have been more comfortable then others but I always make it a habit to get off the saddle every ten minutes or so on a ride anyway and have a wiggle and a stretch of the bum cheeks.

Looking at saddle dimensions, 'lady' saddles are generally just shorter, have more padding and have a width of 140mm+
I've got 2 saddles that are 140mm, so I'll start with those.
Cheers

As a female. I think the saddle must be comfortable, maybe a little soft.
