Planning Wollongong NSW to Lakes Entrance VIC December

Hello riders. I am planning a big ride from Wollongong NSW to Lakes Entrance VIC approx 700km to arrive by December 23, 2010. Pointers, ideas, anyone done this ride before? Anyone interested in doing a leg of this? Was thinking depart syd on train and catch as far south as it goes, then commence ride and ride til next train, which is Vline train in Bairnsdale. Camping and following the christmas holiday trail ... any takers?

Any ladies up for doing this with or a leg of it with me?
