Recovery from collarbone break aside, yeah, I'm not riding to work at the moment. Just doing spin classes to get the effort in as it allows me to focus on keeping my core stable without distraction from little things like ... traffic . Need to stop re-injuring myself if I'm gonna get betterApple wrote:trailgumby. It should be a nice pace, I didn't know your back was giving you trouble again.

A potential bailout opportunity is:trailgumby wrote:Would prefer that option as it gives me bailout choices if I need 'em
1. Read the title of the thread "Sydney girls Ride"
2. Realise that you are not a girl and bailout now
Thus the poor girls don't have to put up with someone who doesn't meet two of the three components of the ride: 'is a girl', 'can ride' (i.e., you are injured.)

You seem to be reading something into my posts that isn't there. Apple has taken it in the spirit intended - a self-deprecating piss-take (which *includes* the fact it is an obvious political correctness fail) - not quite sure why you seem to want to be offended on her behalf?ft_critical wrote:A potential bailout opportunity is:trailgumby wrote:Would prefer that option as it gives me bailout choices if I need 'em

Road riding is not like mtb where losing a rider in an isolated bush environment can result in a helicopter being summoned. We'll manage!
In the meantime the company will be different to my usual and good fun.

I am sure the girls don't mind if any of the guys come, the beauty of this ride is that you can go as hard or slow as you want.

I think that one is West head. Don't worry you will be fine, just go at your own pace, the ride is one that you will continue to see each other, the area is all connected.Schmenz wrote:sounds fabulous!

Hey Grasshopper, my friend Di is also coming, if she can get her ass out of bed
She can talk to you about the Audax classic, she did the 240km a few years ago and she loved it.
