Yes it is, it's even better with the riders there, when I am alone in the park it gets boring. My Avg is so much better when there are others to catch. :D

My planned sprint to the gate in the park this morning was thwarted by the warden :) Went for an invigorating ride around the Eastern Suburbs and had a free shower in Vaucluse and a slippery ride down to Watsons Bay. Trying to get back into the swing of serious training post Alpine Classic.

Nice to see you Apple in the park. I'm sure all this riding is having a beneficial effect - you look slimmer and times are getting faster.

Don't love a bit of 'racing' on your ride...I'm fine of the flatter sections but once the road goes up then everyone catches me again
Drafting Mr MM on our rides is paying off he pushes me just that bit more than if I was out there on my own....

Yesterday I rode the Johnny Warren Jamberoo Classic which was quite an epic ride. We were worried about rain but the morning was beautiful, sunny and not too hot. We rode from Marrickville to the start at Loftus and then down through the Royal National Park to Wollongong and onto Jamberoo. Official ride, a tad under 100km. I rode back to Wollongong with my friend Mark and we managed 160km at an average of about 26kph which I was pretty happy with. Our last leg was at ridiculous speed because of a late thunderstorm. As it was we couldn't outrun the rain and got wet. Bit tired and sore today! I don't think I've ever ridden so fast, but tucked in behind him :)

It looks like I will be off the bike for a short time. I crashed yesterday on a lip on the road. I am so angry with myself, next time I will stay on the road and not the shoulder.
I flew off the bike and scraped my shoulder and leg, worst part was the rib cage, I freaked out when my head hit the pavement, thank god for the helmet. When the head hits the ground with such force it’s amazing how much the helmet takes. I hope to be back on the bike soon. :(

That's TERRIBLE, Apple! It's such a fine line sometimes, u will think about replacing the helmet, I hope, if it took a sharp bang. Get better soon, take it easy! Sending healing vibes

Sounds like you have done a rib.

Suggest before you ride outdoors that you have a ride on a trainer or the like

How bad is the rib?

If your hate the trainer, why not come to a spin class
