I wasn't sure where to post this, but I thought it might be of most interest to the ladies on the forum so I'm putting it here.
My partner raced the 24 hour world solo championships on the weekend and has written up a race report that can be found here. You can also read her other blog posts which cover some of her training and racing in the lead up to the event. If anyone has thought of doing something similar you might find some useful information in there, and it's an interesting insight into the world of endurance mtb events from the perspective of a relative newcomer (she has only really been riding mtb for 18 months or so).

Awesome! 375kms of riding in 24 hours on a mountain bike. That's really impressive. Congratulations on the Bronze.
