Speedict eBike Computer/Analyst - Use your Android Phone!

Built my first (prototype) eBike 6 weeks ago and fitted a Cycle Analyst to it. Great little device and has already provided me a heap of juicy data I need to effectively design my next (proper) eBike... however lookie what I found only a couple of days ago: http://www.speedict.com/ Phwaaaa!

I don't own one (yet) however Speedict seems to do very similar job to Cycle Analyst but Bluetooths to your Android mobile phone and uses it as the display. Looks like it is also able to store logged data from the last 12 hours of riding, output graphs via USB etc. and blend all that data with the GPS route using Google Maps & Streetview so you can 'replay' your last ride and see exactly what happened & where.

I am in no way affiliated with either Cycle Analyst or Speedict but have been bitten by the eBike bug pretty intensly over the last few weeks as my purposely dodgy, purposely cheap DIY prototype has turned out far better than expected and I've already purchased the donor bike for my next 'proper' build. Thinking about the possibilities Speedict has opened up I'm more excited than ever to get cracking on it... 'Big Kev' excited!

Just bought a Speedict eBike unit a few days ago and once it arrives I'll pair it up with a used Motorola Defy (water/shock/dustproof) permanently mounted to the bar stem and powered from the main battery pack. I'll write a review here once it's all up and running...

Great find, automating the logging to the phone is nice, some people around the EV forums have been wanting that. Will point it out to Adrian of CommuterBooster in Melbourne if he hasn't already seen it. Part of those functions were a fair way down on a feature list for the kit.
