Digital Bikes

Postby AUbicycles » Tue Apr 01, 2014 9:36 am

The current trend in e-bikes is digital integration, a natural trend though noting with the speed of technology you would be cautious with a smart phone compatible e-bike when the next edition iphone is double the size and has a new adapter.

Here is what BMC are calling the first digitally connected bike... ever
A successor of the Stromer, the ST2 <- that is the link :)

Would be interesting to see where this goes. I would like to see built in GPS on the bike, could track a stolen bike or record rides so your phone doesn't have to.

There are a number of inbuilt GPS solutions coming out for preventing / tracking stolen bikes - not ebike specific and they are really pricey.
