These Focus creations look like the most integrated road-bike-look rigs produced thus far, so it will be interesting to see how many end up out on the road. For the purists they may not be the 'done' thing, but for many with physical limitations and/or commuter-types, I reckon these e-bikes look the goods.

Yeah that's definitely one of the stealthiest looking e-bikes I've seen. Very nice, and very light weight (for an e-bike) too at 12.5 kg.

I like this design, and am glad to see at least some e-bikes moving in this direction instead of the heavy clunky upright style that I so often see. (Seriously my sister in law has one that's about 26 kg. What a freakin' dog, almost unrideable without the assist on).

This focus looks like something that you could ride all day, even without the assist switched on if you wanted. Maybe just use the assist for the most killer hills if you're not that fit.

BTW. The article didn't seem to mention, but the 64 thousand dollar question is: What does it cost?

I'm guessing the $64,000 part might be both the question and the answer though. ;)

Nobody would give that bike a second look and suspect it was an e-bike. This is the way of the future! Only 12.5kg as well, so when the 250W cuts out at 25kph it won't feel like someone's thrown an anchor out the back either.

Sexy.

I'll take this one - it's just what I need to ease the load on my knees...

But then...maybe this one would work for me too.

That looks great Ron. They are getting closer to my ideal spec for lightweight touring... < 10 kgs, disc brakes, potential for 40c tyres, aesthetically pleasing so the battery is inconspicuous, front suspension, 100km range and capable of 45km/hr plus. Hopefully all sorted as my dotage nears.

Yep I really like the design of this one. Does anyone have any clue on the price?

They are concept bikes. Did you see the Project Y page I linked.

If they went into production at that specification (carbon fibre, Dura-Ace, XTR Di2) they would be very expensive. At a guess $7,000 - $10,000.

Make it an aluminium frame, mechanical gear shifting, and I reckon it'd still be under 15kg
