The NSW Parliament's Joint Standing Committee on Road Safety has released its report, Vulnerable Road Users: Inquiry into Motorcycle and Bicycle Safety. The report can be found here.

So at the end of the day, all this report recomends is for more accurate data colation, more bike paths, and better education? Heres a hint, retest all drivers every 5 years. You cant 'educate' dribbling idiots with the use of campaigns.
And while they're at it, howsabout they actually improve on road saftey NOW rather than just hope we will be happy little vegemites in 10 years when the bikepath network is completed (which will only benefit metropolitan cyclists) and hundreds more cyclists have been killed

Yes but those dribbling idiots vote and WON'T vote for something that inconveniences or costs them. Motorcycling has had reasonably good competency based training for learners and licence for 10 yrs now and guess what. Year on Year motorcycling death rates have fallen. But hey we're 1% of the driving public so they don't care that's harder for rural people to get a licence and costs more. Not that I'm knocking it - it's just it was done TO us as motorcyclists because we're a small group. Can't see that happening with car drivers.
