deja vu reading that.

I want to see the outcome of the cyclists suing the cop.
Sounds to me like that fruitcake cop is not (mentally) fit to hold such a position.
The sooner he gets his comeuppance the better.

According to Google maps, Ohio isn't even in the deeeeep south.

How exactly can you become cop without a reasonable knowledge of the law? It's like being a taxi driver and not knowing where major landmarks in a big city are...
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

... and your point is ???

Sad that these guys are legally allowed to carry guns and tasers and use them on "ordinary" folk. At least having professional statewide cops, our standards can be more consistent and weed out most of the power bullies - the rest we put in Highway Patrol

I have a great deal of respect for most cops, but there are some powertripping scumbags out there with no idea of the law...it disgusts me

No, it's because some of us read that news report at least 12 months ago :P
Riding bikes in traffic - what seems dangerous is usually safe; what seems safe is often more dangerous.
