If you want to drive or ride safely you should be aware of your surroundings. Trucks don't just sneak up on you, they are visible and audible for a long time before they pass you.
Head check and/or use mirrors.
The trouble with b-doubles is your view of the second trailer is almost entirely obscured by the prime mover and lead trailer.
It woudl be very easy for a fatigued rider to forget about the possibility of a second trailer and swing out behind the first on an assumption...
