And here I was thinking it was a thing from riding moto's. Front brake should always be on the right. The left is the clutch. The other way round feels weird to me.

European bikes are often set up opposite!

God knows why. I definitely feel I can modulate my front brake better using my right hand than my left. I am right handed though and have ridden moto's for many years.

Pretty sure this is Sheldons advice on lever assignment too for just the same reason.
