I think we all realise now that simply pursuing 1m/split distance legislation is not going to be anywhere near as effective as is a total rethink of our road network by all concerned, from our fearless leaders through to you and I and the way we behave at ALL TIMES behind the wheel or the handlebars for that matter.

How about as a fundamental principle that everyone should be able to benefit from using the roads without fear of injury or death

Once more for the slow kids... what does the 1m rule mean in the event of a collision.

If a car hits you, then obviously there was no 1m so they get a bigger spank by the courts?

Effectively means that if a car collides with you in the appropriate circumstances, the cyclist is not at fault by default
