Re: melbourne protest against budget cuts - 21 Junei missed HB's speech but it was still pretty big when i got there. good to see a strong crowd in the bad weather. i think i spotted Ted Faillieu peering out of his office window nervously
melbourne protest against budget cuts - 21 JuneGood speech, cheerful crowd considering the weather. I was there on foot due to a puncture earlier and in my office wear, but a least I was wearing my yellow spray jacket
Edit: Some pics - I was there pretty early, so the crowd hadn't built up yet.. Soma Double Cross 2012 - Commuter || Giant CitySpeed (Alfine 8 IGH) - Commuter || Bakfiets Long 2011 - Cargo Bike
Re: melbourne protest against budget cuts - 21 JuneRule 5'd. Worth it.
Great turnout in the conditions, best HB speech ever... I'll see if any of the phone pics came out later, I'm off to bed. ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: melbourne protest against budget cuts - 21 June
WHAT A PITY THE GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES AND LEADERS HAVE NOT GOT THE GUTS TO FACE THE FAMILIES OF INJURED OR DECEASED CYCLISTS AND TELL THEM TO THEIR FACE THAT THEY DO NOT INTEND TO SUPPLY FUNDING TO MAKE THE ROADS SAFER FOR USERS OTHER THAN MOTOR CARS. IF THIS IS THE RESPECT SHOWN TO CYCLISTS BY THIS GOVERNMENT THEN I SINCERELY HOPE THAT THEY ARE UNEMPLOYED AT THE NEXT ELECTION.
