How not to kill a cyclist

Postby familyguy » Mon Jul 02, 2012 2:53 pm

Burt Hoovis led me to this: http://www.themorningnews.org/article/h ... -a-cyclist

Distinctly succint. And as pointed out on Burt's blog, "its a pity no non-cyclist will ever read it".

Yes, this is very helpful, thanks very much for posting. I'm aiming to get my partner to show this (& other material re legalities, responsibility to share the road, etc) to her daughter who gave her a hard time the other week about being a cyclist. The daughter was driving my partner through an urban area and had to slow behind a cyclist, and then let fly with a lot of vitriol like "what am I supposed to do", how they get in the way, should ride on the footpath, etc, etc, and how dangerous cycling is.
