Police are appealing for witnesses of a hit and run in Woodridge this morning, to come forward.
A cyclist was travelling along Station Road towards Smith Road when it was struck by a blue Mitsubishi Lancer at the pedestrian crossing next to the Woodridge Railway station just before midday today.
The cyclist, a 78-year-old man received non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle stopped to check but failed to exchange details and drove off from the scene.
The driver was described by a witness as being of Indian Sub Continental appearance and aged in his 20s.
