Yes, that and the E3 Terraflux does put a better beam onto the road surface - more useful especially around town.

The concentric lens is great for open road night riding. When I did the Audax Fleche Oppy 24hr Trial my E3 headlight was getting reflections from a chevron road sign that was about 4-5kms away..... yes, seriously, I saw this 'light' ahead, on a flat open road on a black night, for about 10-15 minutes :shock:
Riding bikes in traffic - what seems dangerous is usually safe; what seems safe is often more dangerous.
