I need more than a single word response to explain myself further; I thought it was self explanatory but exasperation isn't helping you get your point across.

Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five..

Canyonero! Canyonero!

Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,
It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!

Canyonero! Canyonero!

The Federal Highway commission has ruled the
Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving.

Canyonero!

12 yards long, two lanes wide,
65 tons of American Pride!

Canyonero! Canyonero!

Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!

Canyonero! Canyonero!

She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!

Canyonero!-oh woah, Canyonero!

Drive Canyonero!

Woah Canyonero!

Woah!

Ah yes, the Canyonero. makes Hummers look wussy.

Hummers ARE wussy. The whole 4WD culture is pretty messed up. I love the canyonero song, we used to sing it whilst canyoning. Good times.

G63 AMG 6x6 for the win. 3800kg, 5.5L V8 with two turbos, six-wheel-drive(!), compressors so you can inflate or deflate the tyres at the touch of a button. Only 160km/h top speed because of the tyres.

And a tray on the back to carry your troops and their gear. It'd be just the thing for carrying bicycles around. Or perhaps one of those Lamborghini LM002s..

The cartoon above is just classic. :) So very true of today's logic.

A bullbar with rod holders or a pig on the bonnet may further affect handling.

I don't think any G-Class has any handling to speak of, let alone one with such floppy tyres or that kind of ride height. Just awful.

Have you looked underneath one? Ancient design from the 70's that should have been retired long ago. Ladder chassis, live axles front and rear, 3 locking diffs. The think lurches about like a ship in stormy seas. Except in the 70s it had I don't know, some weedy four-pot diesel, now they've shoved a 550hp V8 in it - which is probably about 400hp more than it can handle

Fortunately the types who target us won't be buying one - not at $500,000+ for a 6x6 version.

Why be so aggressive about it? It was me who started the topic anyhow.

If it's going to be like that around here then I don't want to be a part of it.

Aggressive? Moi?

'Twas just a hint  in view of the thread getting pretty deeply OT (and I don't really care who started the thread.... OT is OT and may be a distraction to many). Ooof, now I'm OT

Make of it what you will :|
