Cougar kills a cyclist and injures another in Washington State
Postby redsonic » Sun May 20, 2018 1:35 pm
ABC News
I gather cougars are attracted to fast moving objects. At least that's one hazard we Aussies don't have to worry about.

An Australian story online this morning didn't try to make that assertion either.uart wrote:You can tell that it wasn't in Australia, because the story doesn't read "The rider who was eaten by the cougar was wearing a helmet".
Nothing really deterred the animal, they did everything right seemingly but the animal came back after them.

The surviving rider was grabbed by the head when the cougar attacked him.

Sorry, that was just a sick joke. It seems in Australia that if they don't report that the cyclist was wearing a helmet, then the general public will think the incident to be the cyclists fault NO MATTER WHAT the circumstances. That's all I was saying.g-boaf wrote:An Australian story online this morning didn't try to make that assertion either.uart wrote:You can tell that it wasn't in Australia, because the story doesn't read "The rider who was eaten by the cougar was wearing a helmet".
