Some "kudos" for Ventura Bus Lines (Victoria)

Postby chucknitro » Wed Sep 26, 2018 5:26 pm

I ride a lot in the Dandenongs. Twisty roads and sometimes limited visibility. About 2 weeks ago, I had a very close pass by a bus on a stretch of road that is not really suitable, even for cars, to pass. I emailed a complaint to the enquiries email.

Today a reply!!!
Thank you for contacting us recently about one of our drivers that passed you.

I have viewed CCTV footage from the bus and presented it to the driver. As a result I have taken the appropriate action as per our company’s policies and procedures. I am very confident this type of incident will not occur again.

I have also sent the driver to our training department for retraining. Further breaches in the future may result in the driver jeopardising their future with Ventura.

I cannot apologise enough for what has occurred and I hope none of our drivers will do this again.
It's feels great to be listened to, and that somebody is listening out there.

What an awesome response! I'm in awe of some of those bus drivers mind you knowing the exact width of their transport squeezing through gaps a couple of centimeters to spare ( prob after doing years of the same route), some of those guys are really skillful drivers (unlike other drivers).

That is very good on many levels. Kudos deserved :D We see so many negative stories about cycling safety. Good to see somebody taking it seriously, as it should be

Ventura is a good company. Unlike Dysons Bus Lines, who employ morons who don't understand the meaning of a stop sign.
