Yes, I live in Birregurra (15km from Deans Marsh) No photo shop at all This is the heavy metal version of the Otway Panther - a local prankster planted it on the island in the middle of this dam. I think it's such a great fun tongue in cheek thing, I ride past it/drive past it regularly so I thought it was time I nabbed a pic........ http://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/art ... _news.htmlbtothec wrote:You live out Deans Marsh way don't you? It's located about 1km north of Deans Marsh on the Winchelsea-Lorne Road so the Otway Classic riders would have missed this by 1km last Sat.

That's fantastic ... I did a lot of tooling around on that Otway ride last week so I'd have been silly enough to do a diversion to see this!

Are you sure that this supposedly panther creature isn't a calf from the Lowline breed of cattle? ... on the Lowline Cattle site it says, A little bull goes a long way.

I think Jimmy Carr has a line something like "On this day in 1939, the Loch Ness monster was invented by the Scottish Tourism Board"!

I know of at least a couple of locals who drive past this dam twice per week or more and needed me to point out the panther.
