Guys doing a sram red upgrade on my madone bb90, some used parts and some new. I'm pretty certain I need a gxp crankset 24mm spindle. Can anyone confirm that for me? Your help would be much appreciated. Cheers
Regards Ben

What are you upgrading from? Easy to confirm, but you need to say what the old crankset was, and what the new one is going to be. Not clear from the post yet.

Check with Trek if they have a conversversion kit to suit GXP (should only be a matter of replacing the left bearing to one with a 22mm ID to suit the stepped GXP spindle).
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Trek definitely does a GXP, Shimano and Campagnolo version each for the BB90, but if you answer my post I can save you a phonecall

hi mate, I'm upgrading from sram force. I didn't build it up nor am I building the red build. So I haven't seen what's in there currently. I've had a friend confirm that GXP is compatible. You don't need to touch the bike, Force and Red are interchangeable. (I am guessing that, but 99999.9999999% likely to be true ) There is a slight chance your Red crank is a BB30 version, and that's not going into your bike. But your Force crank is definitely GXP, and if the Red crank is GXP then it's a straight swap.
BB30 PFFFT. GXP ain't bad, it's been in my bike for a while now.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it. I haven't purchased the red crank yet until I clarified that GXP is the go.
