yep! 6.95kg.

very sexy indeed. i has a singwriter buddy design me up some of the other easton style logos (white with the letters cut out as raw carbon) however i think i prefer the outline style now!

I'd prefer the giant blue/dark electric blue lines along the side of the bike with a black frame and matte black Giant logos. Think..... Tron :P

Also regarding the 28's. I can't find out as I don't have my Propel at the moment. Cracking sound from somewhere on the bike :(

Nice!

How did this come about?
Looks like the LTD paint scheme...

Did you buy the frame and build it up, did you have the C50 clinchers around already or did you ask them to fit the Clinchers instead of the Tubs that is was to be sold with?

It is a limited, I put the c50 tubs on my Tcr sl and use it for racing, the stock giant wheels off the Tcr lasted 38 km before falling apart so I just used the credit and put some extra in to get the c50 clinchers..

i did ask them to swap wheels and they would not do it as i wanted a TCR LTD as well but the c24 tubs were useless to me!

My boss rode both for a while, and reckons the TCR is a bit nicer; the tube profiles of the Propel give it a slightly harsher edge, while the TCR is a bit more forgiving.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

yeh it is a softer ride as the seat post flexes a little more but the larger head tube etc handles better too, initial turn in is sharper and the direction change is quicker..

dont get me wrong the propel is a awesome bike and i love mine!!

Very true gents. TCR is certainly a bit more forgiving and definitely nimble... But you just can't beat the looks....!

Ah nice one... Both fantastic looking bikes!
Wish I could have either or / both.

I love my TCR Adv. 0 and would probably opt for the Propel if given the choice (and keeping mine), obviously just to have something different, rather than 2 of the same bike.

Shame about the Giant wheels, but being able to put the money toward the C50's is certainly some consolation. Do you mind me asking how much you paid for the C50 clinchers? Only reason I ask is that I only ever see them online from overseas companies, and have never seen an Australian based price for them.

Given what you've said, how come you dont do the training on the TCR and the racing on the Propel?
Surely the TCR would be the better trainer if it was more forgiving, and the Propel the better racer if its more aggressive?

Propel is by far the better crit bike. TCR the better climbing bike.

the c50's were 1500 change over..

the propel looks better and we all know its about looking good when on training rides!! LOL but it dosent handle as well, tight riding in a pack etc i would rather be on the TCR.
then there is the braking.. even with the upgraded brakes on the propel they just dont stop as well as the dura ace 9000 brakes..

Worried about riding in the pack? Sandbagger. :P

Sorry, but in tight packs the propel is on par with the TCR. Infact there is hardly any difference between the two bikes when it comes to controlled riding in a tight pack. If anything what you are describing sounds like a mental confidence issue in your equipment/ability or different equipment ie stem/bar material. Between the two bikes the main difference is slow speed riding (anything under 25kph), climbing (that's to be expected riding an aero designed bike) and breaking.

Ok mate... I said I would rather be on the Tcr.. Not you, if you think they handle the same you haven't got off one and straight on to the other one. Yes the propel is nice but it dosent handle or stop as well. Plain and simple. Under 25 there is no difference. Turning sharp corners at 40 kmh and changing directions is the difference.

Bars, stems, bar tape, shifter positions, sprint buttons etc are all in identical positions on all my bikes. Even my shitter on the wahoo has the same stuff..

The black frame with the neon yellow reminds me of the Lapierre I nearly bought instead of the Propel. White looks good too.

The white isnt too bad, but would probably be better with Black contrast instead of silver...

Other than that, I dont really like them. I do not like the new font style for the branding at all, so maybe its just that clouding my judgement on the other colour schemes.
I prefer the current offerings over the new ones.

Relooking on the computer as opposed to phone and must agree - the fork branding is fairly obtuse!

It's not too bad, but I think the current SL0 in Blue and Black looks better. As does the SL1 all Black.
I bet you are... The Ltd and the SL0 schemes are my faves!

It doesnt say what sizes they are stocking (nor how many they have), so perhaps they are just canvassing to get people into the store to upsell... but I saw this and it looks pretty cheap to me!

If you are keen on the Propel and close to this store, it might be worth a look.
Sell the wheels and upgrade (if you feel the need), and you'd come out with an absolute rocket for pretty good coin!

The white one looks the best out of the lot. Give me a white one with DA9000 if possible. (wish list only).

It's a shame they don't offer a custom paint/design service like Trek does with Project One. Giant does seem to love those matte finishes on their top end bikes. They look great for a little while, but after 5000km they don't look so perfect anymore. ;)

Garmin mount pics for interest sake - both integrated and Giant OD2 specific carbon stem mounts:

Where did you get the Garmin mount that connects with the stem? I'd like to buy one of those.

Fetha Custom Components make them. I've bought one direct (intergrated bars mount) and Giant sent one from their other stores over for me also (the stem mount jobbie). Bout $70 a piece.

Very neat. I'm very happy with the stem mount for the Garmin they sent me (uses face-plate bolts to hold it). I might have to do some CAD work to come up with a mount for the AYUP lights and get him to see if he can manufacture it.
