What wheels are you running on the TCR, I see you haven't got the tubs on?

Its a fulcrum zero at the moment. Won't run tubs on the road, tyre is just to expensive if I get flat :D

I built this bike from a second hand frame so I didn't get a chance to ride it with the stock wheels. The zero's are light and responsive while they do catch some crosswinds due to the thick bladed spokes.
https://www.strava.com/activities/446206584 - This is my ride earlier. I have some PB's but not quite sure if its the wheels or the bike or I am just pushing hard. :D

Nice, I dig the propel look, especially with the pslr wheels.

Picked up this 2014 Defy Advanced 1 a couple of weeks back. Swapped out the stock saddle and wheelset and am very happy with it. (Replacing a 2010 Defy Adv 2)

^ Would have gotten a sweet deal on that I suspect. it's a great paint job on that frame and the similar TCR from the same year. Although the white stem is just a bit strange!

The stock wheels that come with this generation of TCR aren't super, they're ok, but even upgrading to RS81s made a noticeable difference. I imagine the Zeros are a bit better again.

yeah sweet bike grt046. Found the best value to performance sweet spot model wise as well I reckon. Now I was going to pull you up on your bar tape not matching the saddle but looks like the stock bike breaks the rules as well. Check this out below - Black saddle and white bar tape. Sure its got a little dash of white on the saddle but that's a rule breaker to me.... :-)

Give it a few rides, the white tape will turn black soon enough.....
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

To answer a few of your questions/remarks.

Yes price was very good especially for the quoted 750 km total which I believe

The bike was as original when I picked it up that included the white stem and bar tape. Since the photo was taken the stem has been replaced and is now black (needed an 80mm stem) I also have black bar tape in the cupboard and that will change in time.

The original Giant wheels (P-SL1) seem ok but as I had the Zonda's which were lighter it was a no brainer to swap and keep the Giant as a spare set. The Zonda's are also a little deeper 26mm and 30mm compared with 20mm

While I haven't weighed it feels significantly lighter than the 2010 Adv 2 with 105

Recently picked this up. It was my last attempt at an Aero bike after the S5 and Venge failed to impress.
Very happy with it. As most have discovered the brakes are NQR but Giant is apparently replacing/ upgrading them if you complain. (putting them to the test in the new year as advised by the dealer)
For those interested its 6.8kg as pictured (size small) and climbs better than expected and very crit friendly.

Sweet ride.

Ask for 2016 propel brakes (rest are rubbish) or get fouriers.

The fouriers were on my replacement list until the dealer mentioned that I should complain about the brakes after a period of time. Ill mention the 2016. Thanks
